all the way with the nbla
Ah, to be back in the heady, care-free days before the World Trade Centre attack, when it was perfectly acceptable to take pictures of Palestinian militants and produce a mistake-ridden pamphlet.
The story is this: certain working class people found themselves in Neutral Bay and decided to do weird shit like graffiti the local pool and letterbox residents with the pamphlet aside.
I heard later on that a local university student decided the pamphlet was so hilarious that he xeroxed more copies and distributed by hand at the local bus stop.

The NBLA stuff reminds me of the recent-ish German film "The Edukators". This film was interesting for me, in that it involved post-uni types doing their political stuff ultra-autonomously (i.e. no organisational element, and not even a conscious political brand (of which "anarchism" would ottherwise seem the most applicable)).
Also interesting was that the film was utterly can(n)ed by every baby-boomer reviewer (I think) in Melbourne - but younger reviewers were a lot more favorable towards it.
Personally, I think that post-uni types doing their own political stuff as a kind of "start-up" is a bit far-fetched, currently. But that's the pity - and the challenge.
I saw the Edukators and liked the film. One of those ones you have to pull your nails out of the seat by the end of it.
Hey, not sure if you got the email I sent to your brag addy, so I'll send you another one ;)
